Free Entry to the Museum over the Easter holidays
Open Friday 29 March - noon to 4pm; Saturday 30 March - 10am to 5pm; Sunday 31 March - noon to 4pm; Monday 1 April - noon to 4pm. Plus from 25 March to 7 April entry is FREE for all the family.
Come along and visit our Roman, Iron Age, Bronze Age and Recent History galleries. Come and see items discovered at Barrow Clumps on Salisbury Plain last summer, plus much more ....
The Archive & Library will not be open over the bank holiday weekend.

Colourful Mosaics - make coasters with colourful glass mosaic tiles - Thursday 4 April
Meet a Saxon Warrior - Sunday 7 April. Hands on fun with object handling and crafts. Drop in between non and 4pm - no booking needed.

for renovation of entrance hall and shop.
It's a very busy time here and the latest of our projects will see our Museum shop refitted and redecorated. As this is at the hub of the building we will be unable to open to the public for the period of the refit. We apologise for any inconvenience and plan to reopen on Thursday 21 March 2013.

Archaeology in Wiltshire Conference this Saturday
Last minute preparations are in hand to welcome over 200 people to the Archaeology in Wiltshire Conference at the Corn Exchange in Devizes.

Saturday's lecture cancelled
Unfortunately we have had to cancel the lecture Dr Bruce Campbell because of ill-health. It was to have been about Climate Change, Epidemic Disease and History: the Case of the Black Death. Our apologies. We will organise refunds for those that have paid for their tickets.
